Shorter waters ( Poem of the day)

Shorter waters Poem of the day
Shorter waters Poem of the day

Did you see that raindrop

Gently tap into grey waters?

Crystal clear after ripples fade…

So I sit at the edge of shorter waters

Attention captured by these ephemeral ripples

But do you see them?

Does a soul notice

How soon the waves disappear;

Crests and troughs marry to form a plateaued water surface…

So I sit at the edge of shorter waters

Wondering,

When would the heavens open up

Waiting,

For the grey curtain to get torn apart

To see that bright beyond the barrier before me,

To have sunshine paint my face,

Shorter waters they are,

Or so I say

But is it?
